My second great grandfather was a farmer in Union Township Clark County Missouri from 1851 to his death in 1875. He also ran a Hotel and Tavern in the town of Union for several years.
His farm was located just west (40 acres)and south (40 acres)to the town of Wrightville which was later change to Union. He also owned several more acres in section 16 and 25 of Union Township. He married Sarah Ann McMinn in Belpre Township Washington County Ohio on October 6th 1850. In addition to the children listed they had a daughter by the name of Luenetta who died as an infant in 1853. Her burial location is unknown.
He is the son of Timothy and Susannah (Gates)Gates of Ohio.
