THOMAS S. ABEL, JR.
Born August 28, 1930, passed away March 1, 2010, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Raised in Wahiawa, he attended Punahou School (class of 1948.) And Davidson College (1953). After serving in the Air Force as a flight instructor, he began his business career at First Hawaiian Bank, rising to manager of the bank's neighbor island branches. Later, he became a real estate broker and business consultant. His true love, however, was golf and he could, and did, brag about his hole-in-one. Tommy had a quick wit and his many friends will miss his wonderful sense of humor.

A simple memorial will be held at The Cooper Center in Volcano, where he had been very involved in Village affairs; Tuesday, April 6th at 4:00 p.m. He is survived by sons Miller, Scott, and Jay, and daughter Julie (Gregory). Also, his three grandchildren, Karsten, Sarah and Leah, and, close friends, Gigi and Beth. Flowers welcome and donations to the Cooper Center would be greatly appreciated.
