Son of Alfred J Ingraham and Lucinda Watkins. He married Anna Amelia Smith Olney 13 Jul 1853 in New York and they were the parents' of six children: Mary "Mate" L.; Ira S; Harmon M; Albert B;Elwin H;Mildred Amelia.

By Special Dispatch to The Herald.
Corfu, July 13. - The fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Ingraham of this place, was observed today by the gathering of children, grand children and sisters of the aged bridal couple of fifty years. Mr. Ingraham was born in the town of Cohocton, Steuben County, in 1818. When 9 years old, his people moved to Wayland, where he lived for nearly fifty years. He then moved with his family to this county, and settled on the Old Thorp William Place, in the town of Darien, where he with his sons, conducted a large farm. He again moved to the western part of the town in 1893, and in the spring of 1902, having to give up farming, he moved to the village of Corfu, where he now resides.

Now as the family gathers around the hearthstone to celebrate this golden wedding and they look back over the years that have come and gone, it seems but yesterday since they stood at the altar and promised to love and cherish each other so long as they lived; but as they look around and see the many changes which have taken place, they realize how much life has held in store for them. In all these fifty years death has never entered the
family circle, each child born to them has marked a mile stone of their life, and now while trying to hold the wheel of time long enough to gather together their children and bless them, they all feel that no greater blessing can come to the home circle than to be permitted to gather around the family table after fifty years, and know there is no vacant chair.

It is the wish of all that the circle may not be broken for many years yet. There were relatives present from Prattsburgh, Wayland, Elmira, Perry and Batavia. Many gold pieces were left in tokens of remembrance by those present, and by others who sent cards of regret.

The place of birth for George Seymour was inaccurate in this clipping - he was actually born in Springwater, Livingston Co., NY on October 18, 1828. Anna Amelia and George Seymour were buried in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu, Genesee Co., NY.
Anna Amelia's interment occurred on April 7, 1925 (she was 95)- George Seymour's died Dec. 23, 1906 (he was 78).
