ELDORADO, ILL. — Mrs. Jane Ellen Barton, 62, of Eldorado, passed away at 3:48 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, at her residence.

Jane was born in Eldorado on July 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Wilburn and Gertrude (Fox) Barton.

She was a member of Eldorado First Baptist Church.

Prior to her retirement Jane worked as a high school English teacher at the Eldorado High School.

Jane is survived by her twin brother, James (Donna) Barton of Owensboro, Ky.; nephew, Jason Mathew (Amanda) Barton of New Albany, Ind.; and great-nephews, Dylan and Justin Barton of New Albany, Ind.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Adkisson.

Graveside services will be held at Lindale Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010, with the Rev. Arthur Foster officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Bruce Fund. Envelopes will be available at the graveside service or later at the funeral home.
