Della R. Berry, 88, of Jeannette, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born July 3, 1919, in Waycross, Ga., a daughter of the late Pete "Moses" and Myriah Knight Guest. Prior to retirement, she was a cook at Trinity Haven Personal Care Home. Della was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Jeannette, where she was on the deaconess board, nurse's board, and a member of the choir and missionary society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Johnson; grandsons, Sherman Berry, Tyrone Eugene Cooley and Darwin Lee Cooley; brothers, Watson, Huey, Lester and Wilson Guest; a stepdaughter, Sue Adams; and stepsons, Eugene, Frank, Louis, Earl and Johnny Berry. Della is survived by five daughters, Genny Cooley, of Raleigh, N.C., Mary Berry, of New York, Helen Johnson and her husband, Jim, of Denver, Colo., Deborah Harper and her husband, Albert, of Jeannette, and Jacqueline Berry, of Cleveland, Ohio; stepdaughter, Dorothy Turner, of Cleveland, Ohio; stepson, Bernard Berry and his wife, Virginia, of Jeannette; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hopewell Baptist Church, 436 Chestnut St., Jeannette, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Anthony Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park
