Anna "Peggy" Gibson
Anna "Peggy" Gibson, a longtime resident of Snohomish County, Washington, peacefully entered Our Lord's Kingdom on Wednesday, October 25, 2006.
Anna was born in Tonopah, Nevada, on September 10, 1915, to Stefan and Rosa Ugarkovich. Prior to moving to the Snohomish County area, she made her home in Yuba City, California. Anna worked for many years in the fruit industry in the Sacramento Valley, retiring from Sunsweet Growers. Anna also helped with the family business, Harold Gibson Trucking.
Family was everything to Anna. She loved making spaghetti and pies for family gatherings and taking her grandchildren to Edmonds beach. She was a skilled artist and particularly enjoyed sketching, oil painting, ceramics, and pottery.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Gibson.
She is survived by her son, Patrick Gipson, and his wife, Maryanne, of Edmonds, Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Paul Gipson, Mark (Kathleen) Gipson, Catherine (Larry) Martin, Rosemary (Eric) Peterson, and Anne (Jeff) Goss; and 11 great grandchildren: Peter, Emily, Thomas, Kristen, Mallory, Theresa, Taylor, Nathan, Connor, Matthew and Megan.
Anna was blessed with the loving friendship of Irene Tyler, her roommate at the Marysville Care Center. Anna's family deeply appreciates Irene, the Marysville Care Center, and Providence Hospice of Everett for their compassionate and loving care for Anna.
A Committal service for Anna will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, 205 N.E. 205th Street, Shoreline, Washington. Arrangements: Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds, (425) 771-1234.
