Esther E. Westerman, 82, of Fort Wayne, a retired secretary, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at home. The Fort Wayne native retired in 1982 from Central Electrical Contractors after 20 years of service. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and served after retirement as librarian at Zion Lutheran School and volunteered at the Botanical Gardens. Surviving are her husband, Robert C. Sr.; a daughter, Sandra E. Meshberger of Lafayette; sons Robert C. Jr. of Fort Wayne and John A. of Indianapolis; sisters Lillian Smith of San Diego and Louella Clements of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, 2313 S. Hanna St., with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
