Gayle Lee Burroughs was born June 14, 1948 in Enid, Oklahoma to Gaylord and Edna Burroughs. He was the oldest of five children. Gayle graduated from Garden City High School in 1966. They had three children. After several years of faithful service to his church in Elkhart, Kansas and working for Colorado Interstate Gas Co., Gayle retired to Guthrie, Oklahoma and focused on his woodworking and fishing. After several months of battling cancer Gayle has gone home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 25, 2010. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Dale Leo in 1975 and John Wayne in 1976. He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, his wife and their children, and grandchildren, his brother and sister, aunts and uncles,and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
