A native and life long resident of Walton County, he was the son of the late Frank Peters and Era Adcock Peters. A retired employee of the Monroe-Walton Mills, he was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Jan 6 at the Chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Homes. The Rev. Don Malcom officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Peters, Stan Peters, Wayne Peters, Dale Brown, Keith Peters, Timothy Peters and Walter Hawk.
He is survived by his widow, Artelia Brown Peters, one son, Hugo Bennie Peters of Jonesboro, one brother, James Frank Peters of Monroe, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
