Manuel A. Banda of Lubbock departed this life Friday, July 30, 2004, in Tucson, Ariz. He was born March 2, 1940 in Waelder to the late Magdaleno and Manuela Aguilar Banda. Manuel married Paula Cedillo Feb.17, 1962 in Waelder. She preceded him in death June 11, 2004. He was a cotton ginner and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn his passing include three sons, Alex Banda of Dalhart, Rudy and Manuel C. Jr. Banda, both of Lubbock; three daughters, Marie Baca of Amarillo, Irene Ramirez of Tucson, Ariz., and Angielee Banda of Lubbock; and eight grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Cornelio Ramirez officiating.

Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow. Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock. To register or send cond olences online go to www.whitefuneralhome.com .
