Carrie Elizabeth Brown, 91, of Florissant, formerly of Crump, died Sunday, May 7, 1995, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born March 12, 1904, at Jewett, daughter of Noah and Talitha (Williams) Young. She and Roby Brown were married on April 10, 1923. He died on Jan. 4, 1962.

Mrs. Brown had lived at Crump for more than 70 years, and was a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Geneva Nance of Whitewater, Della Blanchard of Momence, IL, Joanna Wooldridge and Shirley Nothdurft of Florissant; three sons, Nelson Brown of St. Charles, Roby Brown of Benton, KY, Harold Brown of Jackson; a brother, Andrew Young of Fredericktown; two sisters, Ova Brown and Ruby Jackson of Fredericktown; 34 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, a brother, two sisters, and two grandsons.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Church with the Revs. Wayne Johnson and Clifton Trentham officiating.

Burial will be in Barks Chapel Cemetery.
