He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Mining Technology Civil Air; served on patrol during WWII; member of the National Electronics Association; president of NEA in 1953; after retirement he was a representative for the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
Survivors include his wife; son, Dale of Manitou Springs; daughters, Lois Garner, Wanda Gossage, Helen Eichman and Betty Andres, all of Colorado Springs; a brother, Lloyd of Colorado Springs; and a sister, Ida Mae French of Colorado Springs; 10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
