Williamsfield James O baird, 58 of Williamsfield Route 1 died Saturday at 10:45 a.m. in St. Francis Hospital Peoria, Il.
He was born Nov. 30, 1920, in Galesburg. He married Eleanor Farrell May 9, 1942 in Missouri.
She survives with his mother, Mrs. Nora Owens Baird of Knoxvile, and a daughter Janie.
He was an Elba Township Supervisor and former Knox County Board member. He attended Bradley University where he was enrolled in Bradley's first flight training program. He served in the Army in World War II as a flight instructor and was a private flight instructor until 1975. He was a member of the Williamssfield American Legion and the Galesburg YMCA.
Funeral was Tuesday at 2P. M. in the Patterson fneral Home. Elmwood, with the Rev William LaFollette officiating. Burial will be in the Williamsfield Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 9 at the funeral home.
