He had been a member of the Union Pacific Old-Timers' Club, a past master of Excelsior Lodge, A.F.& A.M., a member of Council Bluffs Chapter No.441, Order of Eastern Star, an employee of UPRR for forty years (1891). He was a native of Council Bluffs.
Surviving him are his widow, Cora Belle MARBLE Spoor; two daughters, Mrs. Clay (Cora SPOOR)Cochran of Portland, Oregon and Mrs. Mildred (SPOOR) Adams of Los Angeles and one brother John W. Spoor of Kansas City, Missouri.
Burial was in Walnut Cemetery.
