Mrs. Wade Phillips dies suddenly
Mrs. Mattie Lee Fly Phillips, wife of Wade Phillips, died at her home in the Walthall community at 9 o'clock Saturday night, August 2. She had been in poor health for more than a year but death came quickly after a sudden heart attack. She was 67.
The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fon Fly. Mrs. Phillips had lived all her life in the Walthall community.
Funeral services were held at Goshen Methodist Church Monday afternoon. Rev. Page Box officiated. Burial was in Goshen cemetery. Her nephews served as pall bearers.
She leaves her husband, one son. James Wade Phillips with the armed forces in Michigan, one daughter Mrs. Buck (Senna Lou) Dobbs of Bolivar, Tenn., and nine grandchildren
