Daniel and wife Elanor (Blodget) Abbott lived on the farm directly next to the Abbott Family Cemetery in Gaysville; it is the land on their farm that created this cemetery. The first person buried here is Daniel's father Nathan Abbott.

They had 11 children per the citation here, but it is likely that Danforth Abbott was also their child, as his death record suggests.
