Lydia was the 3rd of seven children born to Zelek and Polly (Elliott) Darling. (Zelek was married previously to Sarah Wheeler Blake Darling and they had 11 children.)
Zelek and Polly (Elliott) Darling's children, all born in Sutton, were:
1)Moses Leland Darling, b. Nov 7, 1812, d. May 14, 1847 in Worcester, Ma. of consumption. His occupation was machinist.
2)Harrison Darling, b. July 15, 1814
3)Lydia Darling, b. Oct 21, 1816, d. 1904
4)Ruth Darling, b. Sept 21, 1818, d. 1856 in Winnebago Co., Il. She married, on May 24, 1841, in Sutton, Ma., William Henry Luther, son of David and Rachel (Ormsby) Luther.
5)Fuller Darling, b. Mar 24, 1821
6) Palmer Darling, b. May 16, 1823. He married Martha Ann Holmes.
7) Judson Darling, b. May 5, 1827. He married Irenea Rich.
On Set. 18, 1839, Lydia married (as his second wife), Emory Dunn. Emory was born Jun 25 1809 in Northbridge and died Dec 31, 1863 in Northbridge and is buried in Riverdale cemetery, Whitinsville, Worcester Co., Ma.
Two of Lydia and Emory's sons, Henry W. Dunn and James Fuller Dunn, died in the Civil War. James is buried in the Riverdale Cemetery and Jenry is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Va.
