Obit in The Correctionville News, 13 June 1984, page 4: Hazel M. Mullicane, 69, of Anthon, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 1984, in the United Methodist Church in Anthon with Rev. John Oren officiating. The former Hazel Arnold was born July 11, 1914, the daughter of Henry and Mabel (Coyle) Arnold. She was born near Anthon and was a lifelong area resident, having worked as a clerk and saleslady for more than twenty-five years at the R.W. Maddison Feed Store, retiring in 1981. She married Leonard Mullicane in 1931 at Elk Point, South Dakota. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Senior Citizens Group. Survivors include two sons, James of Denison and Jerry and Anaheim, California, one brother, Jay of Pierson, two sisters, Mrs. Sherman (Elsie) Kindell of Chicago and Mrs. Donald (Ruth) McGarry of Sioux City, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, one son Joseph, one brother and one sister.
