Mrs. Ruby Caldwell Self, 80, of West died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at the home of her daughter in Destin, Florida.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant. Rev. Benton Goodman officiated. Burial was in West Cemetery at West.
Mrs. Self was a native of Vaiden, served as a supervisor at Durant Sportswear, and was a member of West Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Odell Self; a son, Thomas Self; and s daughter Shirley Self.
Survivors include: daughter, Rose Chauvin of Destin, Florida; brother, Bennie Caldwell of West; sister, Gladis Maddox of Laurel; and two grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Steve Adams, Steve Green, Bill Grace, Mike McBride, Chris Broyles, and James Griffin.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
