Calico Rock ----- Calvin Ardell Jones died Saturday (Oct. 18, 1997) at Mountain Home. He was 69.
Mr. Jones was born Oct. 29, 1927, at Calico Rock, a son of John Jones and Siltha Elizabeth Harris Jones.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Ada Ruth Thompson on Nov. 25, 1949 at Paragould. He was a member of the Harmony Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Mar Bax Shirt Company.
He is survived by one daughter, Elaine Moody of Mountain Home; one son, John Jones of Mountain Home; one sister, Rhudean Strain of Mountain Home; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
Services will be at 10 am today at the Calico Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Gregg officiating. Burial will be at the Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Eddie Howard Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
