Alice Marie Morgan Conover, age 78, of Roosevelt, passed away May 17, 2010, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
She was born September 8, 1931, in Meeker, Colorado, to Edwin and Bessie Winslow Morgan. She married Wellman R. Conover. He died December 12, 1995.
Alice lived all of her life in Atascadero, California except the last 15 years in Roosevelt. She did everything from tutoring her grandson to fixing a carburetor and supervising family construction projects. In her younger years she was a Cub Scout Den Leader. She was an avid fan of her children's sports – never missing a game. She enjoyed traveling with the family and taught them something new every single day. For the last fifteen years she has helped raise her grandson Kody. She was a remarkable woman.
Alice is survived by her two sons and their wives, Gary (Kaye) Conover, Henderson, Nevada; Clifford (Kitty) Conover, Roosevelt; grandchildren, Gina Pope, AJ Croce, Kody Conover; great-grandchildren, Janee Dilbeck, Cameron Conover, Anthony Conover, Benjamin Pope, and one on the way; brother, Orville (Barbara) Morgan, Atescadero, California; Mary (Robert) Klintworth, Creston, California; many nephews, nieces and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wellman; grandson, Jason Conover, brothers, Frank, Clarence, and John Morgan.
Her wishes were to be cremated and placed next to her husband at Chapel of the Roses in Atascadero, California.
