She was born March 3, 1899, in Northwest Township of Williams County,
the daughter of Christina (Ebinger) and John George Messner. She
married Olaf Doyle Coolman in 1915, and he preceded her death in 1936.
Mrs. Coolman was a lifelong area resident and a member of Columbia
Church of Christ.
Surviving are three sons, Herbert (Enola) Coolman of Tigard, Ore.,
Albert James (Thelma) Coolman of Bryan, Gilbert (June) Coolman of Ney; a
daughter, Mrs. Christina Headley of Edon; 15 grandchildren, two
step-grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Victor Doyle Coolman, and a
daughter, Minnie Marie Dennis. Also predeeding her death were three
brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with
pastor Daniel G. Beaudion officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside
Cemetery in Montpelier.
Visitation will be in the funeral home in Edon, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday,
Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
