Clifford Eugene Reese, 69, of Everest, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on June 30, 1940 in Eskridge, Kansas the son of Carl & Kleoria Kohlman Reese. Clifford served in the U.S. Army Reserve for over 25 years with the Osage City 733rd Transportation Unit. He was an auctioneer and farmer in the Osage City area until he moved to Everest in 1987 where he went to work for Wilde Toole Company and Flair Fold in Hiawatha, Kansas for a number of years. He then went to work for the Alamo Group in Holton, Kansas until his retirement. After he retired he still enjoyed having auctions and being a crossing guard for U.S.D. #430 South Brown County School District. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Horton, Kansas, Masonic Lodge, Whiting, Kansas, Order of the Eastern Star, Hiawatha, Kansas and the American Legion, Everest, Kansas. On June 15, 1984 he married Kayrol Kaufman in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. She survives of the home. He is also survived by four daughters, Tina Alejos of Topeka, Kansas, Angela & husband Doug Walker of Iowa, Michele Koppa of Atchison, Kansas and Shirley & husband Sam Waters of Falls City, Nebraska; two brothers, Richard Reese of Topeka, Kansas and Ralph Reese of Paola, Kansas; three sisters, Mary Naylor of Topeka, Kansas, Ruth Feltner of Osage City, Kansas and Vivian Catterson of Buffalo, Kansas; twelve grandchildren, one great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lester, William and Gerald Reese. The family will greet friends at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 28, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Osage City, Kansas with burial and military graveside rites at the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.
