Hebron Journal dated 3-5-2014~~~120 Years Ago, 1894:
The citizens of Deshler were shocked to learn that William D. Jones, editor of the Deshler Herald, had died from the effects of a dose of arsenic. A telegram was at once sent to Dr. C.M. Easton, coroner, who at once went to Deshler and investigated the cause of death. He soon became satisfied that it was, to use his own language, "a clear case of suicide," but does not know that it was done with suicidal intent. Burial was in the Carleton Cemetery.
