Mrs. Ames was born in Pike and was 45 years old/ She was a member of the Arkport American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, Ira Ames; a daughter, Mrs. John Eimer, Buffalo; two sons, Ira Ames, Jr., Arkport, and Cpl. Richard Ames, U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Monroe, Va.; two sisters. Mrs. Sidney May of Swains and Mrs. John Frank of Warsaw; three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home, with the Rev. Frank Karr of Swains officiating. Burial will be in Hunt's Hollow Cemetery.
