TOULON -- Deana Winn Bennett, 79, of rural Toulon died at 11:02 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at Toulon Health Care Center, where she had been a patient since July 21. Born Oct. 22, 1919, in Wyoming, Ill., to Dean Harold and Marie Louise Cox Winn, she married Roy B. Bennett on May 30, 1941, in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Douglas (Carol) of Edelstein; one sister, Dorothy Jackson of Tuscola; and two grandchildren.

Two sisters preceded her in death.

She was a legal secretary for Raymond Liggett, an attorney in the Wyoming-Toulon area. She later was a clerk in the Circuit Clerk's Office in Peoria until retiring.

She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Wyoming. She also was a member of American Legion Post 2 Auxiliary in Peoria and its 40 et 8. Cremation has been accorded. Private graveside services will be Saturday at Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. David Lynn will officiate. DeBolt-Kidd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
