David was the son of Joseph B. Hill and Francina P. Blackwell, and named for his grandfather David L. Blackwell. He married second Mrs. to Mrs. Margaret M. (___) Morgan.

The following obituary appears in the Hopewell Vlley News, Hopewell, NJ, 17 May 1979, p. 7:

Dr. David Blackwell Hill, 91, of Altadena, Calif., died May 9, at his home.

Born in Hopewell, he graduated from medical school in 1910 and was a family physician and internist in New York City from 1912 to 1952.

Dr. Hill had been an attending physician at Flowers Fifth Avenue Hospital and an associate professor at New York Medical College. He was a member of the New York Academy of Medicine and the county and state AMA.

Son of the late Joseph B. and Francina Blackwell Hill, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Hill; a stepson, J. Henry Morgan, of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Edward U. Hill, of Hopewell, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Cromwell Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St. Rev. Robert Beringer, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiated and burial was in Old School Baptist Cemetery.

The family requests contributions be made to charity.
