CANBY --- May J. Cheesman of Canby died April 15, 2005. She was 87 years old. She was born May 4, 1917, in Rodeo, California. May Bush married Theodore A. Cheesman in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1955.
She worked as a nurses aid and cook at the Golden Age Care Center from 1966 - 85. She lived in Canby since 1986. She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church, the Gladstone Community Club and attended the Canby Adult Center and Oregon City Pioneer Center.
She is survived by sons Bill, Arthur, Harold and Keith; daughters Anna Adams and Laura Gendhar; sister Laura Lamore; 12 grandchildren and five great grand children.
A memorial service was held April 20 at Foursquare Gospel Church in Oregon City. The family suggests remembrances made to the church.
