William Calhoun Carter, 65, a native of Jackson County, died Tuesday night at a hospital in New Orleans.
The funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at Johnson Cemetery in Wade Miss., Rev. Marcus Howell, of Americus, Miss., conducting the services.
Deceased is survived by his wife, of Lucedale, Route 1; one daughter, Mrs. E.S. Nelson, Big Point; three sons, Roy and E.V. of the Army, and Nolle Carter, Lucedale, Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Taylor, Mobile, and Mrs. Addie Johnson, Wade; four brothers, Hurd, Port Gibson; Jack, Wade; Grover, Wade; Cary, Hermanville, and Ford, Wade.
