Funeral Services for William "Bill" Barton, 35, of Crowville were held Saturday, May 17 at South Central Baptist Church near Wisner with the Rev. Larry Eubanks and Rev. George Ferrington officiating.

Interment followedd at the church cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Barton died Thursday, May 15, 1997 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, a truck driver with Waste Management of Northeast Louisiana, and a member of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his children, Cody Barton and John Barton, both of Monroe; the children's mother Jeannie Barton of Monroe; four sisters, Betty Armstrong of Sicily Island, Patricia Lachney of Wisner, Darlynn Netherland of Crowville, Cecile Netherland of Rocky Branch; four brothers Ira Barton of Baskin, Roger Barton of Wisner, Ricky Barton of Winnsboro, and Rex Allen Barton of Wisner; also a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were John Armstrong, Pete Lachney, Cecil Barton, Danny Parker, Travis Barton, Glen Chesney, and Malcolm Woosley.

Honorary pallbearers were Mike Barton, Tron Barton, and fellow employees of Waste Management of Northeast Louisiana.
