Edward A. Miller, 6976 E. State St., Hermitage, formerly of 6050 Miller Road, Hermitage, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, in his home of an extended illness related to cancer. He was 58.

Mr. Miller was born Nov. 28, 1947, in Mercer. He graduated in 1965 from Hickory High School, Hermitage. Mr. Miller was employed as a painter locally and also worked for General American Transportation Corp.'s formerMasury plant.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1968 to 1970 as a corporal, stationed in Germany. He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 810, Hermitage. Mr. Miller was an avid race fan.

Surviving are: a son, Jay E. Miller and his companion, Debbie Watson, Mercer; a daughter, Janelle M. Audenried and her husband Matthew, Stockertown,Pa.; his grandchildren, Abigail E. Audenried, Adam M. Audenried and Benjamin A. Audenried; special friends, Erin N. Watson, Mercer; Jason W. Jones, Oklahoma; and Mark H. Watson, Sharon; sisters, Patricia A. Miller and Margaret Webster, both Hermitage; and Doris Shaffer, Hollywood, Fla.; and a brother, Glenn Miller, Hermitage.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. Samuel Miller; his mother, Marie Blystone Miller; a sister, Evelyn De- Muth; and a brother,Robert Miller, all formerly of Hermitage.
