Mrs. Fannie Leftwich, 79, of New London, widow of J.C. Leftwich, died at 3 a.m. on April 22, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.W. Mitchell on Route 4, Lynchburg, after a long illness. Born in Bedford County, January 25, 1861, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Glass and Sarah Reynolds Glass. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of New London.

Besides Mrs. Mitchell, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.W. St. John of Gilliam, WV, Mrs. G.C. Scott of Roanoke, three sons G.L. Leftwich of Lexington, KY, E.N. Leftwich of Timberlake Road and Eldorus Leftwich of Staunton.
