Miss Cora Lee Nixon of 1920 Chestnut Street, Wilmingtno, NC, died Friday, June 28, 1991, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Topsail, Pender Co., NC, on April 17, 1888, the daughter of the late James C. and Annie McAlister Nixon.
Miss Nixon was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and was retired from the New Hanover school system after over 49 years of teaching.
Surviving are a nephew, C.W. Nixon, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; a great-nephew and a great-neice; and three great-great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 1991, in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Douglas Vaughan and Rev. Edward C. Hay.
Interment will follow in Oakdale Cmetery.
Pallbearers will be Garvin Faulkner, Bruce DesChamps, Dick Reagan, Martin Willard, Emerson Willard, and Thad Jackson.
