She was a resident of Lexington, SC, and the daughter of the late Albert O. & Ethel Taylor Bowers. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Valera Holstein.
She was a 1933 Graduate of Newberry College. A retired teacher, she taught at Hollywood Schools, Leesville Elementary, and Bonham Academy. She was a member of the the St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her brother, Truman Bowers of Leesville; sister, Gladys Fulmer.
