Obituary clipping from Ethel Gibson's Bible (newspaper unknown):

The infant son of Boy and Ethel Gibson departed this life on that beautiful Sabbath morning of Aug. 4th, 1912. He was a bright little boy of only a few short months. He was only a tender little flower that buded on earth to bloom in Heaven. God in his wisdom saw fit to remove him from this life, though it be hard to give him up, we will say, "Thy Will be Done."

He had the kindest and best of attention from the family and friends, but alas, he had to answer that same call that is awaiting you and I. Oh! may we be as ready as the little one.

His short stay with us was only 19 months and 23 days. The family wishes to thank their friends for the kindness they showed them during his illness and death. He was laid to rest in the Sanders cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Jim Schumaker.

Gravesite Details

Unmarked - According to Walter Puckett, who dug the grave, John Henry was buried in the indentation in the hillside near the old pine trees. As of 1999, the Sanders Cemetery sign was nearly on top of his grave.
