Funeral services for Robert Jasper Cromwell of Wardell, Mo., were held Friday afternoon, Jan. 29, at 2:00 o'clock from the Holiness Church, Stanley Community, with the Rev. Rhodes conducting the services. Mr. Cromwell died January 27, at Wardell.
Mr. Cromwell was born February 8, 1874, in Wayne County, Tenn., being 68 years, 11 months and 12 days of age at the time of his death.
Interment was in the Portageville cemetery with H.S. Smith service.

NOTE: Robert was married twice. His first wife was Etta P. Allison whom he married on 8 Feb. 1896. She was born Sep. 1878, died 1904, probably in Feb. after giving birth to her 3rd child. She was the mother of his oldest 3 children. Shortly after her death, Robert married her younger sister, Rosa Allison, on 5 Apr. 1904.
