Services are 7 p.m. Wednesday at Family Funeral Services, Milan. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 6 p.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
He was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Ketchikan, Alaska, the son of Roy and Naomi Hill Moore. He married Vicky Stanley Sept. 10, 1967, in San Jose, Calif.
He graduated from Western Illinois University. He had been a computer technician and teacher at Black Hawk College since the 1980s.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era as a radioman aboard the USS Tappahannock.
He was a miniature train and tractor collector and enjoyed woodworking. In his younger years, he was a Boy Scout leader and had received his Eagle rank.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky; daughter and spouse, Cari and Jeffry Loete, Chesapeake, Va.; son, Brian Moore, Milan; grandchildren, Joshua and Katelyn Loete, Chesapeake; sister, Wanda Dawson, Arizona; and brother, Deeroy Moore, Australia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
