From Holland St. John - "Lydia was born in Posey County, Indiana in 1837. Very little is known about the Hall family, but most likely they had established a farm north of the town of Mount Vernon near Farmersville in the early 1800s.
Lydia married Robert Duckworth Jones (my grandfather) on December 13, 1855 when she was eighteen years of age. After they were married, Robert developed a farm near that of his parents, David and Margaret (Duckworth) Jones. There is no evidence that the couple had any children. By 1860 they were living in Black Township on their homestead. Sometime between 1860 and 1869 Lydia died. Her husband Robert fought in the Civil War and suffered from illnesses received while a prisoner. Ill health followed him the rest of his life. He returned to their farm after the war.
He married Sarah Ann Givens on June 19, 1869 and the newlyweds took the second transcontinental train to California where they established a home near Sacramento and raised their family.
It is not known when or where Lydia died, but it is assumed she was buried in Posey County, Indiana."
