Our loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend returned to his sweetheart and Heavenly parents on July 14, 2002.

He was born June 12, 1917 in Clear Lake, Utah to Hyrum Jesse and Lovina Elizabeth Bushnell Bond. Married Blanche Nichols June 10, 1939 in Nephi, Utah, and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Hyrum was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners for 60 years. He served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, beating everyone at cards, and eating Oreo cookies. He was an active member of the Holladay 11th Ward. We are truly blessed to have known him.

Survived by sisters Edna Viola Bond Kelsey and Willia Venetta Bond Kelsey; sons David L. (Nanette) Bond, Kenneth L. (Patsy) Bond; daughter Laura B. (Robert) Harris; ten grandchildren; and five great-grand-children. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, two sisters, spouse and one granddaughter.

Hyrum is now with his "Pennies From Heaven" and Blanche is with her "Counterfeit Bond".

Services will be held Thursday July 18, 2002 at 12 noon at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, where friends may call Wednesday July 17, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
