Lancaster - May 10, Mrs. Lila Duke Holland, 40, died here today after a two year illness. She was the daughter of the late Charlton and Alice Cloud Duke of Ridgeway. She was educated at Lenoir Rhyne College and taught school for several years before her marriage in 1925 to Charles W Holland.
Mr. and Mrs. Holland moved to Lancaster in 1930, where Mr. Holland is a mortician. Mrs. Holland was a teacher of the First Baptist Sunday school and a member of the church choir.
Surviving are her husband, and two children, Carolyn and Duke, also surviving are her mother and two sisters, Mrs. John Dove of Columbia and Mrs. Framp Griner of Estill.
