Chuck was was raised in Toluca, IL. As his single mother worked diligently to raise him and his brother, she instilled in him the importance of strong character, integrity, compassion, and humor.

In high school he was named the Tri-County free-throw champion when he made 25 free throws in a row. Shortly after his graduation from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, he moved to Great Falls, MT., to work for a beverage distributor and later transferred to Billings, then to Dillon. It was in Dillon that he met Linda. They married on July 21, 1979.

He and his family moved to Bozeman in January 1980, when he started work as a finance manager at a local car deal-ership. In June 1986, he began working as a loan officer at First Security Bank in downtown Bozeman and was a Vice President there at the time of his death. In 1994, he graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School.

He also was past president of the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and on the board for Montana Food Bank; past president of United Way; and served on the board of the Red Cross and Gallatin Development Corp.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Robyn (David) Cotton; sons, Chris Nimmo (Wren Willett) and Adam Hoge; grandchildren, Adrianna and Hunter Cotton, and Alexis Nimmo; brother, Jeffrey (Mary) Hoge; and special cousin, Melodee (Ted) Franklin.

Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Hoge, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Love.
