Adra Eliza Ross was a daughter of Harry Mark Ross and Mary Maude English. She was born in KS where her father was surveying land. Returning to Bloomington, she met and married Thomas Beren/Benjamin Selders and raised a beautiful, healthy family of 7 children who adored her. Adra was "Grammy" to many and a strong, Christian, service-oriented woman. After the death of her beloved Tommy, Adra lived in the old farmhouse on East Oakland Avenue, Bloomington with her widowed father. Later she married Homer Kirchner, but lived with her children who helped care for her physical needs. Grammy had severe strokes that left her paralyzed and bed-bound for years, but she never waivered in her love of Jesus and her family. She was truly an inspiration to many many people.
