Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Clifford H. Pearson, 64, a former Mission Gorge resident, died March 9 in Spanaway, Wash., where he had lived the past two years. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, Minn. Firlane Mortuary in Spanaway was in charge. Col. Pearson was born in St. Paul and lived in the county eight years. Survivors include his wife, Frankie; four daughters, Sandi Stewart of San Diego, Gayle Laurin and Sue Carr, both of Colorado, and Carol, of Montana; two brothers, six sisters and seven grandchildren. The family suggested contributions to the Cancer Society.

"Frankie," Passed away peacefully of cancer on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, surrounded by her daughters. She was 81 years old and a 12 year resident of Visalia, California. As the wife of a career Air Force officer, Frankie and her family traveled the world and ultimately retired in Visalia. She was the devoted and loving wife of Clifford Pearson of St. Paul, Minnesota, now deceased. The beloved mother to Gayle Laurin of Denver, Colorado; Linda Pearson, now deceased; Susan Carr of Phoenix, Arizona; Sandra Stewert of Farmersville, CA; and Carol Gallagher of Seattle WA. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. "On wings of hope, each heart can travel free as high as love can soar as far as dreams can see." We will miss you mom. No services are planned at this time, and burial will be private. No visitation.
