Morris M. Brumbach, 75, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully after a 3 week hospital stay at Ephrata Community Hospital, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010.He was born in Elizabeth Township, a son of the late Harry and Elsie (Haldeman) Brumbach. Morris is the husband of Jean L. (Krepp) Brumbach, Ephrata, to whom he was married for 54 years last June 26th.
He worked as a Quarry Superintendent for Compass Quarries for 45 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of Brickerville United Lutheran Church, enjoyed watching NASCAR, and was a Pine Ridge Hunting Camp Honorary Life Member of Lycoming County.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Ruth A., wife of Rick Little of Ephrata, and sons, Gary L., husband of Lois (Fredrick) Brumbach of Reinholds, Scott A. Brumbach of Ephrata, Kevin J., husband of Denise (Royer) Brumbach of Ephrata, a granddaughter, Jessica Barnhart, two step grandsons, Ryan and Travis Little, and a great-grandson, Nathan Barnhart.He was preceded in death by four sisters, Kathryn M. Krepp, Mary Hehnly, Anna May Hehnly, and Grace Brumbach.
A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM, Monday, May 24 at Brickerville United Lutheran Church, 340 E. 28th Division Highway, Lititz with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Clifford R. Hanus officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville.
