Archibald was born to William Drorbaugh and Amanda Koser. He wed Edna Ellen Cutchall in Johnson County, Iowa on November 9, 1880. They had:
1) Harry in Sep 1881
2) Edith in Sep 1883
3) Alice in Oct 1885
4) Lloyd on Aug 19, 1888
5) Glenn on May 1, 1890

Archibald moved to Sac County, Iowa and had:
6) Florence in Aug 1893

In 1908, they moved to Marion County, Oregon. In about 1922, Archibald retired from farming and moved to Salem. Wife Edna died there on June 3, 1925.

Archibald M. Drorbaugh passed away at the family home 1040 North Cottage street, Salem, yesterday morning. He was born in Jackson County, Iowa, in 1858 and was aged 69 years. He followed farming in Iowa, and the family came to Salem 19 years ago and Mr. Drorbaugh bought and conducted a farm four miles east of Salem. He retired several years ago and took up residence in Salem. His wife died in Salem in June, 1925. He had been ailing since last December. All the children are living. Mrs. Hines, daughter, is and has for along time been one of the chief assistants of the Oregon Packing company cannery on Twelfth street, in which capacity she has come into contact with many of our people.
Deceased was father of H.M. Drorbaugh of Kent, Iowa, Lloyd, Edith and Mrs. H. H. Hines of Salem, Glenn of Spokane and Mrs H.T. Edwards of La Grande. Funeral service today, March 15, at 3 p.m. from the Rigdon mortuary. Concluding services at the Mt. Crest Abbey mausoleum.
