MCDOWELL, 85 of Huntington, widow of Oscar Messinger and Charles McDowell, passed away Sunday June 3, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday June 5, 2007 at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Thad Allen officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. She was born November 27, 1921 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Earnest Harshbarger and Nellie Collins Harshbarger Blevins. She was a retired School Bus Driver with the Sylvania, Ohio public schools and attended Madison Avenue Christian Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by a daughter Kim Donna Lasater of Toledo, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Candice and Chelsea Lasater; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Regina and Jack Fowler of Huntington and Patricia Wright of Daniels, W.Va.; a brother Howard Harshbarger of Independence, Ky.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vernon and Gerry Cremeans and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave., Huntington, W.Va. 25701. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary Monday June 3, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
