Doris Jean Diller October 5, 1929 – May 18, 2010

(Doris) Jean Diller was born near Morrowville, Kansas on October 5, 1929 when the family planned to attend the county fair. Her parents were Elva Martha Davis and Victor Otto Diller. Reared by her father after her mother's death, she grew up with many responsibilities.

After graduating from local schools she became the mother of two children, Nicholas Otto Greever and Holligay Greever.

In Winfield, Kansas she was employed by the state hospital for 13 years and left as the public relations director. She traveled the western states as a representative of Hollister Incorporated for 17 years and retired to Grand Junction, Colorado.

Her early retirement years were spent traveling the world, visiting China, Russia (USSR) twice, Great Britain twice, the Balkan States, Mexico, Canada and much of the USA.

As an avid gardener she became an Advanced Master Gardener and a member of the Desert Vista Garden Club. The later years were marred by ill health and she was lovingly assisted by her son.

She leaves her son, Nicholas Greever, of Grand Junction; daughter, Holly Hayes, of Seattle; dear friends, Kathy, Deena, and Archie McCarrie, of Sandy, Utah; a nephew; and many nieces.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lawrence Diller, Max Diller and Geraldine Zahn.

Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., May 20, 2010 in the Elmwood Cemetery, Fruita, Colorado.
