QUANAH - Cecil Barnes, 80, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in Crowell.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Fox, interim pastor, officiating and Wesley Smith assisting. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Barnes was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Stamford to Crawford and Viola Issacks Barnes. He married Virginia McNabb on Jan. 31, 1949, in Quanah.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years; a daughter, Debra Ringer of Lockhart; two sons, Bryan Barnes of Quanah and Roger Barnes of Plano; two sisters, Mary Sanders of Mabank and Joanne Cook of New Braunfels; a brother, Frank Barnes of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
