TERRE HAUTE — Jerry T. Corenflos, 70, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2010, at his residence. He was born Oct. 1, 1939, in Marshall, Ill., to Francois and Flora Corenflos. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a supervisor for Facility Management at Indiana State University. He was a member of Krietenstein Post 104 American Legion. He was a musician and played with the Midwest Playboys Band, The Highlanders, and several other bands over the years. He was an inductee into Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame, and was a mentor to several young musicians. He also was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, a fisherman, hunter, loved to play euchre, and loved playing music.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sis Corenflos; his parents; one sister, Doris Cartwright; and two brothers, Gene and Jack Corenflos.

He is survived by sons J.T. Corenflos, and Steven Haase and wife Kathy; a daughter, Cathy Brown; sisters, Ruby Hill and Carolyn Allen; five grandchildren, Kristy Haase, Jacob Corenflos, Ernie Scott and wife Kathy, Mathew Brown, and Misty Boyll; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave. Visitation is noon until services Thursday. Officiating will be Nic Elliott, with military honors by Krietenstein Post 104. Burial is at Roselawn Memorial Park.
