Services for Christine Davis Phillips of Monticello were 11 a.m., Thursday, April 15, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips died April 13, 2004, at Lawrence County Nursing Center. She was born in Lawrence County on Feb. 23, 1916, to Willie A. Cox and Laura Maxwell Cox.
She was a retired sales clerk with Lofton's Department Store. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and the Eastern Star in Monticello.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Ernest Davis and Roland Phillips; a daughter; and two brothers.
Survivors are her sons, Gary Davis and Don Davis, both of Monticello; her sisters, Ella Rainwater and Ruth Leak, both of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
